HEART - or "Chicken Little" as we call her - is a combination of two strong doe lines here - her
dam is the last daughter of GCH HEARTBEAT and her sire is out of GCH SARAH CANNON - plus
her sire SOMMELIER is sired by AESOP - so we expected HEART to be special and have not
been disappointed!
She was the last baby born in the herd in 2004, arriving in late May, and still placing 2nd at her
first and only show of the year.
She freshened for the first time at the age of 11 months, after we put the buck in with the doelings and
forget she was a late May baby! She has been slow to mature, but each year has consistantly placed well
at shows, and in 2007 as a 3 year old, she started coming into her own - winning lst place at her only
two shows, and earning her first milking leg going GCH at the Prince William County She is a sharp,
elegant and dairy doe who carries and udder that is extremely well attached all the way around - a long
smooth foreudder, strong lateral attachments and a high, wide rear attachment - we look forward to
getting her into the show ring in 2008!
Her doe kid from 2007, TIME AGAIN, placed 2nd in her only show and was kept as a dry yearling for
2008. We kept her littermate brother and used him on our 2007 doelings - kids from him will be
arriving in May and we are anxious to see them hit the ground.
HEART is our granddaughter Sammi's doe, and we are very proud of them both!
HEART is bred this year to *B Lynnhaven SQ Seattle, thanks to our dear friends Sharon Fraley and Steve
Mullinex - we really love the Lynnhaven line and Seattle's first daughters are very promising, so we
are really excited about the breeding! |
